"Wish I knew who said, "When Life hands you lemons, make
lemonade." The Pink Fund is the lemonade I made, only, in pink,
of course, when I learned I had breast cancer."

SURTHRIVOR™ Brand Jewelry Debuts
for Breast Cancer Awareness Month For the benefit of The Pink Fund

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI
August 5, 2011…To celebrate October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Pink Fund debuts a line of jewelry that celebrates the spirit of the SurThrivor™- a term they defined to embody a breast cancer survivor who thrives in her recovery, while making a difference in the lives of other cancer patients.  The line will further advance the work of the non profit organization to support additional SurThrivors.

The jewelry features sterling silver and the word “SurThrivor”. Pieces are embellished with Swarovski crystal and croc embossed leather. The line includes a bracelet, a lariat and a tag necklace. Retail prices are $80 for the bracelet, $65 for the lariat and $55 for the tag necklace. The jewelry is the latest in the SurThrivor™ line of products to be released and is timed to celebrate October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The jewelry will be available starting September 1, 2011 at Tallulah Belle, 114 West Third Street, Rochester, Michigan 48307 and www.etsy.com/shop/lagemmajewelry

The jewelry was designed for The Pink Fund by designer Dina Lamontagne. While proceeds will fund the non profit, the primary goal of the jewelry is to advance the message of SurThrivor™ - a core philosophy of The Pink Fund.

Pink Fund Founder Molly MacDonald states, “We have been searching for a way to embody the concept of the SurThrivor™. As women we often wear our hearts on our sleeves. With this jewelry we can “wear” our cancer journeys in a way that will inspire others. The SurThrivor lives in all of us.”

Jewelry designer Dina Lamontagne describes the design philosophy as representing the battle scars that a SurThrivor™ wears with honor. “The hammered edges represent every battle and every scar left behind both emotionally and physically.  The high polished finish represents the unrelenting spirit that shines from within” She continues, “It is this combination of beauty, determination and strength that reveal something more beautiful than it was before.  It reveals a true SurThrivor™.”

The Pink Fund

The most frequent need is for coverage of mortgage/rent, utilities, insurance policies and automobile loans.

Founded in 2006, The Pink Fund is governed by a volunteer board of directors, and assisted by an advisory council.
